Theodora (Roula) Saltidou holds a BA in Greek Language and Literature from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and an MA in Linguistics and Literature in Education from the University of Western Macedonia, Greece. She has been carrying out doctoral research on the mediation of youth language in Greek television series at the Department of Early Childhood Education of the University of Western Macedonia under the supervision of Dr. Anastasia Stamou. She has worked as teacher of Greek language, linguistic editor at Hellenic Academic Ebooks (www.kallipos.gr) and as external researcher at the research project Thales-University of Western Macedonia-“Linguistic variation and language ideologies in mass cultural texts: Design, development and assessment of learning material for critical language awareness” (Chief Researcher: Dr. Anastasia Stamou, University of Western Macedonia), funded by the Greek Ministry of Education and by EU resources. Her research interests revolve around the (stylistic) construction of youth identity in pop culture texts.
